Harry Potter Project – Introduction

I am going to dedicate my first 16 posts  to the world of Harry Potter. I will be going back to my childhood to when I was six years old, and when I first discovered the world of Harry Potter.

As a six year old, the world of Harry Potter showed me the infinite possibilities of the mysterious and magical things that could happen in life.

I was introduced to it when the first film came out in 2001 but it really began with J.K. Rowling writing the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which was first published in 1997.

Over a period of ten years, this much-loved world has been adapted into eight films. The final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, was released last Friday 15 July 2011.

To mark the end of this era for my generation, I will revisit this world by reviewing not only the films but also the books and by the end I hope you will have understood why this world meant so much to my childhood and so many other children of my generation.
