I adore Egyptian history it is by far my favourite for its sheer intelligence as people and the stories that were born of its history.

So when I heard about this TV show; Tutankhamun I couldn’t wait to watch it as the story of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb is a fascinating one. What a fabulous job they did representing this extraordinary story of history and discovery.

I was on the edge of my seat throughout it had the drama of the progressive era and the beauty of Egypt. It captures the sheer wonder that comes with discovering history for the first time. The drama element was good not too überdramatisch and scandalous.

I loved Carter he slightly reminds me of me with his sheer dedication and interest in everything his world has to offer. My inner woman adored Maggie’s she was so strong and independent.

Lord Carnarvon was so funny knows nothing of archaeology but takes it up anyway for the kicks and the money. One cannot forget the artifacts and the costumes stunning and breathtaking. Overall, a great introduction to a series with solid characters and exciting direction.
