This episode is all about Bryan, a man with a military background going with his sister to his parents house on a train when a shoot-out changes everything.
In terms of a first episode it definitely grips you with its action packed sequences. I enjoyed the storyline. In relation to whether it is similar to the film Taken maybe a tiny bit in terms of family member dying and the character’s background but in relation to everything else its very different.
Bryan as a character is very likeable as he is kind and caring. He has that tough man look which is always either charming or hilarious. Christina, who is the boss on the other hand is cold and calculating and a woman in charge. I enjoyed that side of her because she obviously a badass woman with immense talent which l love.
The team that Bryan joins is an interesting mix of characters. With all different personalities which makes you more interested in how the team develops together. It ends on a cliff hanger (even though it obvious) which keeps you interested. Overall, this first episode is an interesting look at developing the concept of the Taken films into a crime drama. Although I am still sceptical as to whether it is going to work in terms of the development of the show.
