So this episode centres around an old friend of Christina’s who is wrapped up in a conspiracy of a Senator’s death. Also Bryan trying to deal with a lot emotions to do with his sister and that interfering with work. So will Christina find the origin of this conspiracy and stay alive?

Massive dramatic beginning with a hostage situation which I was not expecting. Then it goes into Bryan having this complex about his sister and working in similar situation in training. So as usual within the first 5 minutes you totally shocked and need to take a break to process these events. I like that it is so dramatic and so much happening but I felt that first scene was a bit rushed.

Then a senator dies but it is a suspicious death and there is an old friend of the Christina’s involved from her time in the CIA. There is a meeting but her friend is scared and then it just blows up from there which I enjoyed because the tension was done perfectly I was on the edge of my seat.

This episode was good in terms it so engaging due to it being packed with action and a fascinating mystery of the senator and how it was all connected. However, I did find it very rushed and it lacked enough explanation to make it a great episode. As you just got to the end they connected everything with a two minute explanation at which point I was like hold on WHAT? I had to rewatch to connect all the dots which is never a good thing. I think this plot would have been better if it had been stretched to two episode in which you could have developed the conspiracy and intertwined into the main story. Instead it felt rushed and a missed opportunity.

The character development was interesting to see Bryan being vulnerable because the connection to his job and what happened to his sister. Otherwise, you get that hint of connection with Asha which I like but sometimes feels a bit weird and forced. I did like that we got to see more of Christina’s background but I did think we could have been given more. Plus there is also that hint of some history with the husband of her friend but never explained hopefully they will later! This TV show sure loves its hinting. I did really enjoy Christina’s character she was badass and emotional but also has such a fascinating background that I am sure we will be drip fed slowly.

Overall, it is very much setting the tone for episodes to come that they will be fast and full of complicated situations that you will get but always think there is something else to them. I do really like all of the characters as they are all mysterious and have lots to reveal.
