Style of Writing/ Narration:
I don’t know why but this was hard to judge for me mainly because I was unsure how to officially judge an audiobook. I mean is there a preferred way to review audiobook if so let me know in the comments! Any away here we go!
I liked that her comedy style wasn’t overly complicated or clever. Honestly, simple comedy is so much better. Even though I guess she was trying to make her style more serious I just couldn’t stop laughing.
I loved the theme of striving for your goals and being lazy – I know they’re opposites. But its important to be both in life because life is too short, which Anna states perfectly. I love her emphasis on actors being normal people because they are – almost. Although we do understand this, especially with writers and artists perhaps it is because the life of an actor seems much more glamorous.
In biographies it feels weird to judge people’s lives and character development when they are real. But I will say this, I feel Anna is a great and funny character throughout her book and would love to sit down for a coffee sometime with her.
What a fun and intelligent piece of biographical writing/audio. I even want to sit down and read it, I’ll try to fit it in my schedule but will definitely going to end up on my shelf. If you are in need of a hilarious pick me up (with wine of course lol) grab the audiobook or the physical copy get physical physical (Madonna fans will understand lol) of the book you’ll love it. See she brings comedy into my writing! God I hope she writes more!
