March Film Releases

This month’s collection of films are inspiring, horrifying and heartbreaking. It is actually a month where I am excited to see so many films. For the last few months it has been one or two interesting ones. However, I think this is partly due to the fact the many studios want these so called prime spots in the year to make the most money which doesn’t bode well for the cinemas. Anyway I think the list of films I want to see satisfies all my film needs from the biopic to a horror film.

Here is the list:

8th

Captain Marvel – 12A – 2hrs 3mins – Action, Adventure, SCI-FI – 7.2/10 – D= Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck – S= Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn – Carol Danvers is part of the Kree planet but is she really? Will her past reveal itself?

Opinion: So excited for this film!

15th

What Men Want – 15 – 1hr 57mins – Comedy, Fantasy, Romance – 4.6/10 – D= Adam Shankman – S= Taraji P. Henson, Kristen Ledlow, Josh Brener – A woman thinks she will get a promotion but like in most situations she doesn’t so she drinks some tea from a eccentric woman. Now she can hear men’s thoughts!

Opinion: I would to see this but I think I will wait till digital release.

Five Feet Apart – 12A – 1hr 56mins – Drama, Romance – 7.1/10 – D=Justin Baldoni – S= Haley Lu Richardson, Cole Sprouse, Moises Arias – Two teenagers with Cystic Fibrosis start to fall in love. But will it work out?

Opinion: It looks incredible and heartbreaking!

The White Crow – 12A – 2hrs 7mins – Biography, Drama – 6.6/10 – D= Ralph Fiennes – S= Oleg Ivenko, Ralph Fiennes, Louis Hofmann – The story of Rudolf Nureyev life.

Opinion: I can’t wait to see this movie it looks so inspiring!

Us – 15 – 1hr 56mins – Horror, Thriller – 7.5/10 – D= Jordan Peele – S= Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, Elisabeth Moss – A family on holiday when suddenly they now have crazy doppelgänger.

Opinion: Looks insane in the sense of the word and good!

Opinion: Looks really abstract and interesting getting a Michel Faber itch.

At Eternity’s Gate – 12A – Biography, Drama – 6.9/10 – D= Julian Schnabel – S= Willem Dafoe, Rupert Friend, Oscar Isaac – The later life of Vincent van Gogh.

Opinion: It looks like an incredible performance from Willem Dafoe.

Dumbo – PG – 1hr 52mins – Family, Fantasy – 7.6/10 – D= Tim Burton – S= Colin Farrell, Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito – Live action version of Disney’s Dumbo.
