This follows a girl called Usagi Tsukino who one day finds a talking cat called Luna. Who seems to think Usagi is a magical being called a Sailor Moon. But Usagi is not convinced but will meeting her fellow Sailor Scouts will convince her. Or maybe a man in a tuxedo?

My Thoughts:

This is the first manga I have read in a very long time since I read Death Note which I love. So I know that Sailor Moon is very big in the manga and anime world so I was dying to check it out but I think this is second season of Sailor Moon manga. However, I started it and I love it and I can’t wait to read more. It is a crazy story about a Legendary Silver Crystal that the evil powers are trying to get their hands on it to expand their power. In terms of plot it is very fast paced with lots of twists and turns.

In terms of characters I did at first find it hard to connect with them due to the format. However, once I got used the flow of the format then I started to connect more with them. I would say my favourite so far is Luna the cat, I love a good cynic and someone who is a clever clogs. I did love the idea of Tuxedo Man and totally fell in love with him like Usagi. Usagi is a sweet character although occasionally a bit annoying at times. The evil people are very suspicious but have some great lines in this manga but I am still a bit confused about who they are which makes me excited to read the next volume.

Overall, the plot is a bit all over the place which was annoying but by the end it culminated in a mysterious and cliff hanger ending. I am interested to see what the rest of the Sailor Moon team are like and what is their next adventure. I really enjoyed this funny and exciting adventure looking for a magical crystal and I can’t wait to learn more about the Tuxedo Man. This is great for people that love a girl power team in a fantasy adventure or anyone who loved the Winx Club if anyone remembers them.

5 stars
