My Pitch To You: Quite possibly my favourite Stephen King but I haven’t every one of them so can’t confirm that. However, the character of Pennywise is the reason I couldn’t put this book down.

2. Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist


My Pitch To You: This original tale of a vampire that has been around longer than you think but what will happen when her supposed father finds out she has a crush.

3. The Shining by Stephen King


My Pitch To You: The atmosphere in this book is spine chilling. The Overlook Hotel is certainly a place you don’t want to be staying in.

4. The Monk by Matthew Lewis


My Pitch To You: My first journey into the world of horror when I was a teenager. If you love your gothic horror then give this one a try.

5. The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan


My Pitch To You: This may be a little too close to home at this time but this story is epic and the imagination and wit of Guillermo del Toro shines throughout.

6. NOS4A2 by Joe Hill


My Pitch To You: Mystery and supernatural all mixed into one fantastic book. I love Joe Hill’s books.

7. Growing Things by Paul Tremblay


My Pitch To You: The Tremblay an epic horror writer that knows how to make your shoulders tense for the whole book. For all those lovers of short stories.

8. The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson

My Pitch To You: I love this story it is a harsh look at society that will make you question your vanity.
