It is the start of the new year and the thing that terrifies me the most is trying to choose my TBR for the first month of the year. There is an unspoken pressure, that if you don’t start your year with a solid and intriguing TBR, it is just down hill for your reading all year. I know it is an irrational fear but one that I think a lot of bloggers and big readers can relate to. This year I have started with a combination of books from every mood so that there is no way I will be bored as January is one of those months where most of us spend it curled up in a blanket. The Red Scholar’s Wake, is me trying to make a dent in the mile high pile of Illumicrate editions I have to read and I have always wanted to read something by the author, Aliette de Bodard. Klara and the Sun is one of those annoying books that spent the whole of last year glaring at me on my shelf saying ‘why haven’t you read me?? I am so popular you should read me!! Look how pretty I am!!’ I know so irritating, so I caved and am reading my glaring book. Lastly, I am reading a book that was a Christmas present from my amazing friend Ivana called Princesses Behaving Badly which she clearly knows my goal in life which is to be a cheeky princess. On a more serious note, the book is about famous women in history, I am stoked to read it.
You can find out more here:
