There are so many big films coming out this month that I am excited for. It feels like cinema is going for a skin rejuvenation this month. Three hopeful smash hits coming from big directors and actors starting with Sam Mendes’ Empire of Light which is a triumphant ode to cinema with a lens on how shitty life can be. Next is Babylon, the Hollywood party to end all parties with Margot Robbie at the helm. Lastly, Spielberg makes an appearance with The Fablemans which his ode to film and semi autobiographical. Then there is a horror I am so excited to see called M3GAN that has been getting rave reviews and is produced by James Wan and Blumhouse. Finally, Tár is coming out in the UK after it released in December for the US which is a disappointing marketing tactic. However, the psychological thriller nature of the story about a woman conductor fascinates me.
